Dear Editor:
If we do not put an immediate stop to illegal entry into this country this undocumented illegal problem will be completely out of control.
We have thousands of illegals crossing our borders every day; add these to the millions already here, and you can visualize our over-burdened taxpayer carrying an extremely heavy load because most of these law-breakers have never paid one dime into the American system.
Common sense indicates undocumented illegals will be found working for employers close to the border. Our government officials must make a serious effort to locate these law-breakers. The immigration and nationalization service should take the next step by thoroughly checking all company payroll records. It sounds ridiculous that thousands of illegals disappear into the crowds when we all realize there must be times they require medical attention, hospitalization, schools for their children plus all the handouts given to those in need. Before receiving help from the American system, it should be a requirement to provide some form of identification.
It is unfair to allow undocumented illegals to stay here when so many came the legal way. Only when we round up and deport those who do not belong here, will we stop the flow of undocumented illegals into the U.S.A.
