Dear Editor:
I’m writing this letter to add light to the parking condition in North Bergen since we now have to buy parking permits to park on the street. I’m a dual resident. I live in Southhampton, NY and North Bergen. I own two cars, so every month I pay $60.00 because my cars have NY plates on them. I can’t have a resident yearly sticker. We were told this would give residents more parking spaces, well it is not true. The problem is this; from 7 a.m. till 1:30 p.m. you can park permit free for two hours. So if a non-resident parks at 11:30 a.m., they could park until 1 p.m. When a resident comes home after 11:30 a.m. all the parking spots are taken until 1 p.m. So who has the better deal to park free.
