Dear Editor:
On November 26 the Senior Citizens of Hoboken were given a big treat. I think it’s about five years now that Willie McBride’s has given a Thanksgiving Luncheon with all the trimmings to us. It was great and thank you Willie McBride and all their staff. They all did a great job and thank you to Carmelo Garcia and his staff at City Hall for helping to put this party together for us, and the best thing was that everyone was given a chocolate turkey lollypop supplied by the generous donation from LePore’s Chocolate. Thank you very much.
And the one thing that was very nice was that the City sent the Senior Citizen bus to take all of us home safe and sound to our destinations.
I look forward to it happening again next year and all the things that the people at the Multi Center under the Director Vincent Barbo and his staff together with Carmelo Garcia and his staff in giving a great time for us, the Senior Citizens of Hoboken.
I hope that in the future for us to always try to do more things like on December 12 Christmas party at the Elks.
