Dear Editor:
As a relative newcomer to Hoboken, I haven’t had the opportunity to experience all of the town’s attributes. However, I did make one observation earlier this week that I found noteworthy; the way city workers pitched in to maintain the city’s garbage collection.
I had no idea that the city’s garbage hauler has ceased operations last Friday until I read a news story on the situation. With virtually no notification, the city was able to mobilize crews from its Department of Environment Services to perform the job magnificently.
I just wanted to acknowledge the performance and thank everyone in the Roberts administration and all the city workers for meeting the task. Job well done!
