Art for sale Victory Hall holds an art auction gala on Dec. 6

Victory Hall will host an art auction on Dec. 6 that will feature a wide variety of styles as well as local and regional artists. The event will be held at Victory Hall, 186 Grant St. in Jersey City with a silent auction started at 6 p.m. and the live auction at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the event is $10 with complementary wine, food, entertainment and door prizes.

The auction features outstanding works by artist throughout Hudson County and is being held during the height of the holiday shopping season in order to allow people to purchase art as possible gift as well as for collectors to purchase pieces of compelling art by both emerging and established arts. The auction will feature more than 100 works including paintings, photography, even functional art.

The artists expected to display work at the auction include:

Organizers for the event said they tried to be inclusive in presenting arts, looking for artists from Hudson County and beyond. The show includes people from Jersey City to Princeton. All of the work is smaller than 30 by 30 inches, but can include a range of subjects, styles and mediums.
