Thank you, Heights residents

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to the residents of our community. During this past state and county seat campaign I worked with former Mayor Gerald McCann. It was an opportunity that was very much appreciated. I went to various community meetings, events and door-to-door personal contact with residents. All of it was a learning experience that cannot be replaced and was my pleasure.

Although people will say that we were not successful, I disagree. On Election Day, November 4th, I worked at P.S. #s 27 and 28 Schools. It was a very long day for all, whether you were working for a particular party or if you were a county election worker. But as Heights residents we stood above the rest and made this election day an easy, safe and pleasurable process for all who came out and voted. But most of all, friendships were developed.

In closing, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for electing our county and state officials. Now, let’s urge them to do the best job they can in bringing resources and aide to help Mayor Glenn Cunningham and our city council continue making strides that have been seen, which have made Jersey City a safer, brighter and more successful place to want to live.

Thankfully,
Sean Connors
