Dear Editor:
Recently, while visiting constituents in Union City, I was handed a letter that Mayor Stack wrote to Union City residents in October 2001. I came upon paragraph which I will like to quote: “I firmly believe in only one office for one person. I want to be your full-time Mayor and only your Mayor. I will never seek a higher office. I will not be a “double dipper” like the other Mayors. From the bottom of my heart, Union City comes first.”
Yet, Mayor Stack is running for the General Assembly, a higher office, “double dipper” as he called it. I believe Mayor Stack owes an explanation to the people of Union City.
Respectfully,
Jose Carlos Munoz
Candidate for the General Assembly
