Let’s all remember happy days

Dear Editor:

You cannot ignore a senior citizen who worries about the feeling of loneliness and state of mind, and I say this could happen to anyone. That’s why I always keep in touch with family, and ask all politicians to be visible. This means, with compassion and principle, telling the truth to all senior citizens and having an agenda of things to be done. We are struggling for our rights and for your consideration to buy our vision and view and not just in November at the ballot box.

Believe me we need no false promises! We must maintain assistance to the older population with dignity and independence. And let=s build a strong tomorrow improving the lives of all senior citizens. I encourage my fellow seniors, you make sure your voice is heard when you are in trouble because never give up the dream, give life all you got and then give just a little more! The summer is here. Have a cheerful and healthy vacation.

Sincerely,
Louis V. Saliceti
Mayor’s Commissioner on Senior Affairs
