Dear Editor:
The residents of 204 Potter Place, a Weehawken Housing Authority building, sent packages to soldiers and sailors serving in Iraq who are residents of Weehawken. Below is a reply from one of the soldiers that we would like to share with your readers:
Dear Senior Citizens of Weehawken,
Hello! How are you doing?
Thank you very much for the care package that I received yesterday. Everything will be very useful in the upcoming weeks.
Right now my unit, 3-7 Calvary, is securing a section of the Saddam Intl. Airport in Baghdad, Iraq. We are all anxiously awaiting our orders to return home. I can hardly wait. It is starting to get really hot over here.
All of the soldiers over here greatly appreciate the overwhelming support that we are receiving from everyone at home. You are all in our hearts and prayers. Because of people like you, we are all confident that what we are doing is right and in the best interest of the entire world.
Thank you all again for your support. Be well.
Sincerely,
PFC Stephen Tierney
