Superintendent Sanger will bring pride to our school system

Dear Editor:

The people of the 33rd district and the people of Union City should be commended for voting for Mayor Brian P. Stack who is seeking to become a State Assemblyman. The City of Union City needs Mayor Brian P. Stack in Trenton. Once Brian becomes an Assemblyman the City of Union City will receive the state funds this City needs and deserves.

Mayor Brian P. Stack continues to make decisions that benefit the people of Union City. This past April, Mayor Stack appointed three new Board of Education members who immediately have had an impact in a new era in our Union City educational system. This past May, the Board selected Stanley Sanger to be the new Superintendent of Union City public schools. Mr. Sanger is a product of Union City public schools.

I have known Stanley Sanger for over 30 years. Mr. Sanger is a devoted family man with high moral values and supreme leadership skills. Mr. Sanger’s outstanding work ethics will motivate all Board employees to work to the best of their ability. Mr. Sanger will be fair and honest and will be demanding and well informed with everything that is going on with the education of our children. Today more than ever before the job of being the Superintendent of a school district is more challenging and demanding, but I’m confident that Stanley Sanger will be effective and successful in his new position. Mr. Sanger is well prepared for his job; he has high skills in technology, curriculum, educational programs and knows how to work with the district budget which is essential in how our district money is going to be spent in order to give our 10,000 plus students the best educational opportunities they can possibly get.

Mr. Sanger will also be instrumental in bringing the family and school closer together. Urban schools desperately need the families’ cooperation and understanding that our children are constantly exposed by negative influence that is part of our world today. As an educator for 23 yeas, I feel that discipline and moral values need to be addressed and upgraded. Parents need to support what the school is trying to do for their children. Also I feel teachers and administrators need to continue to have a sound relationship with the child and the family. As educators we need to be a positive role model to all children. Mr. Sanger, with the support of the school personnel and the community, will make our school system one that everyone will be proud of.

Respectfully,
Oscar Cordero
