Dear Editor:
It seems the old core such as the dems in the house and senate won’t stop bashing President Bush, no matter what he does to implement the tools needed to make our country safe to live in and to help the economy. And the Clintons and Carters won’t go away and continue to tarnish the efforts of our President.
The same holds for Mayor Dave Roberts who is trying to run a city in the only way he knows best. It’s easy for the Monday morning quarterbacks to give an opinion. Instead of personality problems amongst the city council and outright hate for each other, why can’t those we elected to city government get together and work with our mayor? Ulterior motives shouldn’t hinder the heart and mind when making judgment and trying to find a solution to the city’s fiscal problems and the needs of the people
The United Nations couldn’t solve world problems, and one would think nine city council members can’t tend a meeting without bashing each other.
As a long-time born and raised Hobokenite, I remember Dave Roberts when he was made a fireman and worked with him in the public safety area. His family has been a mainstay in Hoboken for many years, and as kids we used to frequent his mom’s ice cream parlor before it became a restaurant, and a milk shake was 50 cents.
Wake up Hoboken citizens and smell the coffee. Support your local sheriff. It’s the only show in town.
