Dear Editor:
On Sunday, April 27, 2003, current Councilman Mr. Christopher Campos of Hoboken, held an event for the residents and their children in Hoboken on the corner of 1st and 2nd streets. Let me start off by stating, in recent years I have attended many block parties but the way Councilman Campos and Director of Human Services Mr. Carmelo Garcia put together such a spectacular event for their residents was outstanding! They had great weather, food like you would not believe, such as rice and beans, roasted chicken, a table top hotdog machine with attendants, an old-fashioned style cotton candy machine with attendants, spin art for the children, Lucky the famous clown, doing magic tricks for all the children and adults, a master magician, a terrific two piece band, a state of art moonwalk for the kids to jump around in and so much more things I can go on and on.
I must take off my hat to these individuals because they really show their true colors, they are not just interested for your support during election time, they are willing to help you and our children all the time. Mr. Campos is truly interested in our children’s education and their future, as well as our loved seniors here in Hoboken. In fact Mr. Campos was dancing up a storm with about 20 or 30 seniors. Over all about 150 people attended this annual event.
I truly feel Mr. Campos has the ability to bring every business man, business owner and homeowners, and young entrepreneurs together to join him in his quest to bring back good government to the residents of Hoboken. With his voice in office we will get the job done together, then we all will be on the same page and the same team; and that is "team Campos."
People who are reading this letter, does this prove to you how much Mr. Christopher Campos is loved in Hoboken or what? To me it seems the residents of Hoboken love Councilman Campos and Councilman Campos loves the people and children of Hoboken as well.
There is an old saying "Don’t fix what is not broke," so let’s keep Councilman Christopher Campos in office because without him our children will suffer as he is fighting hard to make Hoboken a better place to live and raise our children as well as give them a great education and fight to stabilize our taxes in Hoboken. Again Councilman Campos, great job and I’m sure you will be still fighting for us in Hoboken for another four more years.
A loyal supporter
Steven Monetti Jr.
