Dear Editor:
Hoboken is lucky to have a Councilman as dedicated as Michael Cricco. Because he works full-time as a Councilman, Cricco has an unrivaled perspective on the day-to-day details affecting life in the mile-square city. He has been early to recognize the impact of development on Hoboken and has worked tirelessly to protect the interests of its residents. Councilman Cricco has taken important stands on inappropriate development, traffic issues and much more, focusing on everything from SUVs that hinder drivers’ vision at intersections to the desirability of building the light rail system on the west side of town.
I voted for Michael Cricco in 1999 and would do so again if I had not moved out of town. Although I now live in a much less populous community, I think it is telling that I have never met any members of my new town’s council. If you live in the Fifth Ward of Hoboken, however, it is easy to meet Councilman Cricco because he takes such an active interest in the community and its residents.
I would like to urge every Fifth Ward resident to vote to re-elect Michael Cricco as Councilman.
