Jazzy
Viva Paquito! I knew you guys would get the hang of it sooner or later. At last, giving credit where credit is due. Paquito D’Rivera (Jazz in Jersey City 3/13) is a genius and a terrific entertainer. I first saw the jazz master in New York at the Blue Note. He played with his friends and brought the house down. The Jersey City Museum shows will be a lot of fun. – Armando Ramirez
Paquito is a friendly guy, and a virtuoso. He will be at the museum April 17.
Hello Christine
Christine Santelli has been performing at Scotland Yard for several years (A conversation with Christine 3/13). I recommend more people go check her out. She is a passionate singer/songwriter and performer. – Fred
Santelli performs at Hoboken’s Scotland Yard once a month.
Good eats
The Lamp Post’s happy hour specials are excellent (Eveybody knows your name 3/13). In addition to quality food, the bar scene is hopping. – Edward
You’re right. The Lamp Post is a hotspot in downtown Jersey City.
Overheard
While waiting for the 126 bus on Sunday night:
GIRL: Why don’t you just tell him? He’ll listen to you.
GUY: I’m like his father.
GIRL: Say to him, "You’re a big talker when you’ve had a few drinks. Just watch your language."
