Dear Editor:
I feel it is my duty as an American and a voter to voice my opinion (the January 19th issue of the Union City Reporter) on the attempts to recall Mayor Stack by Jose Falto.
Union City has been a place I call home for over 10 years now. Any time I have had any questions, comments or complaints, I’ve always been able to communicate with Brian Stack. Although we’ve never even met face to face, he has always taken the time to contact me and make sure that those issues were dealt with in a timely fashion.
Mayor Stack has lowered the taxes and done so much for the better of Union City and its residents. Believe it or not, there are some residents who are in support of the Mayor’s crackdown on loud and rowdy bars; residents from all different backgrounds who work hard to raise their children and maintain their homes, and quality of living.
I am particularly disgusted by those who play the race card, portraying the Latino community as the victim. How pathetic and insulting to other Americans of Latin descent. Mayor Stack has proven that he does have a connection with the people of our community and will continue to do so.
