Life was, Life is

I was going along happy and gay,
Then all of a sudden came gloomy day.
I was livin’ the life as the saying goes,
“Wine, woman, and song” and going to shows,
People at that time were considerate and nice,
And now they have become as cold as ice.
Driving was a pleasure to do,
And now it’s become something new.
Too may drivers, and inconsiderate too
Couldn’t care less about me or you.
Cruising along with the radio on,
Happy and gay singing my song,
But now when I drive, everything goes wrong.
The guy in the front falls asleep at the light,
The guy in the back wants to start a fight.
Where’s the courteous driver I knew,
It seems that this life is all new.
The world has become a hustling, bustling one
where people dedicated to work and not having fun.
Stepping over people for a higher position,
Disregard the people of their supposition.
People helped each other to get where they are, To hell with the other guy,
Give me nice clothes and a car,
Life was, Life is,
But now it seems to become all biz.
