Education on-line news service is available for free to anyone interested in education

Dear Editor:

Commissioner William Liberia has recently announced that the New Jersey Department of Education has launched Governor McGreevey’s Education on-line news service. Any residents with an interest in education are invited to subscribe to this free on-line service. Subscribers will receive news releases, reports, speeches, testimony, opinions, administrative code, data and any other information that the Department of Education distributes to educators and the media. All information will be transmitted directly to subscribers by e-mail, as soon as the information is released.

I encourage all residents to sign-up and receive the latest news and information that affect our schools.

There are two ways to subscribe:
1. Visit the Department of Education website at www.nj.gov/education and click on Parents’ Circle, then click on the subscription link at the bottom of the page, or

2. Type www.nj.gov/njded/gens/public.htm and then enter your e-mail address in the space provided.
