Abolish the LSP Dev. Corp

Dear Editor:

Either you’re with us or against us. The LSP Dev. Corp has spent enough time doing the wrong things, now it’s time to listen and read the writing on the walls. Go away! Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.

I commend Mr. Campbell and the governor for listening to the voice of those people who really care what happens here in this special park, next to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Keep us free and green.

Governor Kean had a good idea at first but the people who make up the LSP Dev. Corp have seriously compromised the trust of the people they’re supposed to serve. Go away! Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.

The situation at the Marina is deplorable and it’s a good example of commercialism in the park at our own expense. Mr. Peter Yvalsaker, take off your coat and stand up as an honest man, open up your books and let’s see what a great job you’ve done to improve the park. Go away! Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.

We all know who has worked more tirelessly and who have sacrificed their volunteer efforts to bring the park to this point in its illustrious history. Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.

We are not about to go away and will patiently wait the outcome of the state’s inquiry into your financial doings which we pray will include a clause defining your ultimate demise. Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.

Replacing you with those kinds of people who care and love this park, people who have already shown their commitment to keeping this park a free and green oasis for all to enjoy in this great country.

Let’s all imagine a park without the Dev. Corp and their really bad ideas. Go away! Let’s abolish the Dev. Corp.
