Dear Editor:
I think the thing that concerns me most in this current election is still the Waterfront situation. None of our councillors or representatives have insisted that Roseland Development Corporation provide a model or some kind of depiction of what this billion dollar plus project will look like. Particularly the dozen or so high rise buildings they have planned. How can something this big be kept from the public? It seems simply outrageous. I can think of only one reason: they know that the people would be so flabbergasted by the sheer immensity of it, not to mention the blocked views and traffic implications, that all the special arrangements that were made with Roseland would have to be reconsidered in the light of a public outcry. I for one, am outraged. Let us see for ourselves what we’re getting.
