Dear Editor:
The reason I am writing is to tell all of your readers that I love pigeons, but I hate sea gulls because they are a messy bird. You thought pigeons were bad, but sea gulls are worse.
Last month I was down at KMart on Tonnelle Avenue behind Wendy’s and Dunkin’ Donuts. There were at least 100 seagulls eating old donuts, and one of the birds dropped one and it hit us. So now I have a new campaign; let’s kill all of the sea gulls, they serve no purpose in life. They are an eat anything bird. So I say let’s trap all of the sea gulls and put them in the oven.
But leave my beautiful pigeons alone. They serve a purpose in life. So now you have it.
I used to live on 6300 Adams Street, and I would sit outside and feed the pigeons and the squirrels. They would get used to me; they would come right up to me and I would feed them nuts, but they loved no-salt peanuts the best. Then housing started to complain about the mess so I had to feed them in the back of the building, but I don’t live there on Adams Street anymore. I moved, and today I don’t even feed the pigeons here. And there are no squirrels here where I live now. I sometimes miss the squirrels, they were good listeners. I would sit outside my Adams Street home and feed the pigeons and the squirrels and talk to them as I thought they knew what I was talking about.
So let’s get rid of the sea gulls once and for all.
