There is a local chapter of Mothers & More in Hudson County. Mothers & More is an international not-for-profit organization supporting sequencing women — mothers who have altered their career paths in order to care for their children at home. Mothers & More provides a chance for these women to establish friendships by meeting other sequencing mothers, forming playgroups, attending informational meetings and receiving monthly newsletters.
With more than 180 chapters and almost 8000 members, Mothers & More addresses women’s personal needs and interests during their active parenting years. The organization advocates for public and employment policies that accommodate sequencing. Chapters have formed across the country since Mothers & More’s founding in 1987.
The Hudson County Chapter of Mothers &More welcomes mothers from Bayonne, Guttenberg, Harrison, Hoboken, Jersey City, Kearny, North Bergen, Secaucus, Union City, Weehawken, West New York and the surrounding area. In New Jersey, there are chapter of Mothers & More in Bergen County, Chatham/Summit area, Essex County, Greater Wayne area, Monmouth County, Maplewood/South Orange area, Morris County, Princeton area and Union County.
