The Special Needs classes would like to thank Inspector Ralph Gallo, Lt. Gary Repetti, Firefighters Jimmy Azaceta and Mike Stefano for an informative Fire Safety Program on Monday, Oct. 22, 2001.
The students watched a fun-filled video describing safety techniques to use during a fire. They were also informed about the use of smoke detectors and were given a reminder to ask their parents to make sure the battery is working.
Firefighter Mike Stefano put on his firefighting outfit to show the children what a firefighter would look like if there was a fire in the home. This part of the program was very important so that children are not afraid of a firefighter in full gear.
The students enjoyed the program and were thankful for the fire hats and badges.
