Dear Editor:
Now that the election is over I hope the politicians keep their promises especially for the senior citizen population. We deserve the truth and not at election time only. All candidates know we are the grass roots of America with values and principles, and we keep our word because that’s a feeling of satisfaction. Leadership in the lives of senior citizens represents the pride with a dream of peace. So our chief executives must show their strength and endurance by building relationships with the residents of the city they live in.
I myself as a former chairman on senior affairs in Jersey City, have enjoyed sharing my rewards of opportunity and friendship with my fellow seniors.
