A strong Small Business Commission appointed by Mayor and Council should be proactive in preventing this type of business undercutting by chain markets.
I work as an aide to a Councilmember in Tucson and would have recommended to my boss to really go to bat for this businessman. This is a shame. A Hoboken original gone under.
My condolences to the D’Angelo family on the loss of their parents. I remember them well. Tommy "D" was one of my best friends in the early 70s. Good luck to the D’Angelos in all their future endeavors.
