Dear Editor:
On behalf of the men and women of The Dante Alighieri Society, I would like to commend the heroic actions of The Imperatores during America’s Day of Sorrow.
At first response, Arthur, his son and staff, rushed rescue workers to Ground Zero. Before the second plane hit, The Waterway Ferries were on their way. During the first few hours, our country didn’t know if more raids were coming but that did not stop the heroes. Working around the clock, Imperatore’s shuttles gave hope to the desperate survivors and their rescue workers.
We have suffered a great loss, I’ve heard some amazing survival stories. I truly believe, "For every new angel in heaven, there are 1000 miracles on earth." Pray for all those who have suffered in this devastation.
