Grateful to participants who made our ‘Career Closet’ program such a success

Dear Editor:

The American Red Cross, Tri-County Chapter wishes to thank Comcast and its employees for the incredible effort they put forth to support our “Career Closet” program. This program was established to provide economically disadvantaged people with donated, lightly used, interview and career attire. This allows our clients an opportunity to compete for jobs they otherwise would never be considered for. After Comcast employees brought their donated items to their offices, the clothes were dry cleaned by two community minded dry cleaners who partnered with Comcast on this vital project. The dry cleaners who generously participated in this effort were Introcaso Cleaners of Avenel and Jerry’s Dry Cleaners of Brick. Another participating business was The Bee of Bay Head, who donated clothing from their boutique.

This month long endeavor had outstanding results. Over 550 articles of clothing were donated, dry cleaned and are ready to wear. We are grateful to all the participants who made this such a success. These donations have the power to make a profound difference in a person’s life. What an incredible gift.
