Dear Editor:
The first major local historical event of the twenty-first century happened last Saturday, April 21. The event? The long-waited opening of the Hoboken Historical Museum! We now have a museum to honor the rich and diverse history, of the people and events that have made Hoboken famous.
The museum will be a place where young and old, newcomer and long-time residents may come to learn about Hoboken’s past. The museum will have a program of lectures, slide shows, changing exhibits and other community events.
I would like to thank the Board of Trustees, Museum Director, members and volunteers, who all worked very hard in making this event a truly historic one!
