Dear Editor:
As a parent of five children in the Secaucus school system, it is a pleasure to endorse Michael Harper in his bid for a seat on the Secaucus Board of Education.
Michael has been an active participant in many different sectors of our town since he was a student in the Secaucus Middle School. It is admirable to see a young person take so much interest and to give so much of his time to the town that he was born in.
In the past 12 years Michael has held part time summer and winter jobs with the town pool, the ice rink, the department of public works and in town hall as the youth co-coordinator. He presently is a member of the Secaucus Housing Authority where I have witnessed first hand his caring and consideration for the town senior citizens.
His education and work background have given him a wide range of knowledge. In Trenton Michael worked with state legislators on the state school construction act, which supplies grants and low interest loans for facility expansions.
I am certain that, as in other of his endeavors, he will give 100 percent of himself to the school board and will always look out for what is best for the children in our school system.
April 17 is our chance to back an election candidate for the Board of Education. Vote Michael Harper, A-2. He will not disappoint you.
