Dear Editor:
How can one ignore a letter (March 4, 2001) which states that “the Israelis have treated the Palestinians like Hitler treated the Jews.” Yet can any response do justice to the millions of men, women and children, Jews and non-Jews, who were brutally exterminated?
Given your criteria that the newspaper reserves “the right to delete material which appears to be libelous, personally defamatory, or obscene” I am especially at a loss to understand how you could publish a letter that is most injurious and that many would consider an obscenity.
