Annual Holiday Wine Tasting was a huge success

Dear Editor:

The Annual Holiday Grand Wine Tasting benefiting F.A.I.T.H. Services (Franciscan AIDS Initiative To Help) held at Stevens Institute of Technology on November 30, was a huge success. We are grateful for Stevens for allowing us to conduct this benefit in their facility since the event has outgrown any other Hoboken site.

The success of any event is good planning and coordination. Therefore, our special thanks to Mike Garcia and Armando Luis of Sparrow Wine and Liquor for their efforts in securing 25 wineries to provide samples of wines from around the world. We are very grateful to La Isla Restaurant, The Brass Rail and Kings Fresh Ideas for serving and donating an impressive array of cold and hot hors d’oeuvres. We are also appreciative to the other volunteers who pitched in the night of the event to make it run so smoothly.

To those who participated, thank you for your attendance and financial support. The money raised will help us in the provision of services to hundreds of persons infected with HIV and their families in the County of Hudson. The greeters of the event have shared your very positive comments on how you enjoyed the event. Mark your calendars for next year’s Holiday Grand Wine Tasting on November 29, 2001.
