Dear Editor:
I was in Lincoln Park, a county park in Jersey City, today and, oh horrors, there were three dogs in the park doing their bathroom thing. But guess what, all three dog owners cleaned up after their dogs.
I was so intent on watching these dog owners to be sure they did the right thing that I stepped into a half-eaten ice cream cone lying on the ground. I sat on a bench to clean my shoe and almost sat in a wad of soft pink bubble gum. That’s it! Forget the dogs, no more people should be allowed in parks. (And, the ice cream and bubble gum may very well have belonged to children).
Sound crazy? No more so than ordering dogs out of the parks.
