Don’t know where all the hatred comes from

Dear Editor:

To T. Weed. Your letters of vengeance toward Israel are consuming you. Israel is always the aggressor in your eyes, and somehow they are a threat to you. I am sure if you had your way the ovens would be reopened and every Jewish person would be gassed, be they man, woman or child. Your knowledge of history is so shallow that you would deny the Holocaust ever took place. Why not visit one of the death camps, as I did, and see what it was like to be holed up in a room waiting to die, under conditions that were in-human. What would it be like to lose your whole family because of your religious beliefs. This, you were fortunate enough never to have experienced, and yet you would deny history, for your own personal gain.

Why do you live here? Why not go to where you would be welcomed with open arms, and where you would be given a gun so that you could kill every last Jew that walks the earth. Or are you too yellow to do that and prefer other people to do what is in your heart.

At Auschwitz there is young Polish guide who told me that her mission in life is to tell the story of what really happened so that no one ever forgets. Her compassion and sensitivity were so over-whelming, that I had to talk to her, and she said that she read about the atrocities in school. And when she saw what really took place, it moved her to devote her life , so that people like T. Weed would not surface again to take the place of Hitler.

You call the Israelis bastards which again shows the degree of hatred you harbor against them and yet many Jewish soldiers fought in the Second World War so that sick people like you could be free; free to write your hatred in a Jewish-owned paper. The word bastard also connotes illegitimacy and aren’t you guilty of being one also, for you are living on land that was taken by force and without justifiable compensation. Didn’t those in your family ten generations ago push the Indian off his land and off his reservation so that your great-great grandfather could occupy the Indian’s land in a bastard kind of way? Since when is this your country or my country?

If you are so righteous as your letters propose you to be, then return what land or money you have wrongfully taken and give it back to the Indian families that barely eke out a living in a country they rightfully occupied. To do less will only show us the person you really are; a hypocrite.
