Dear Editor:
I went to the Applied Housing meeting. I support Joe Barry and oppose Helen Hirsch and her crazy lawsuit. Ms. Hirsch is off the wall and an enemy of Mayor Anthony Russo.
But Carmelo Garcia is a complete hypocrite. He is a puppet who tries to act like some big shot savior of Applied Housing. But he forgets to tell us that the quacks trying to hurt Applied Housing residents are his political allies and friends. Why did he raise money with Helen Hirsch for his losing allies in the school board election?
Isn’t Carmelo running with Dave Roberts next year? Ms. Hirsch is one of Dave Roberts’ biggest supporters. Carmelo says he is not associated with these fanatics. But he doesn’t mind running for office with them or raising money for them? Don’t deceive the people. Carmelo shouldn’t hide from his political friends because that only makes him an even bigger phony and hypocrite.
Despite what he said Carmelo is very close to Ms. Hirsch, Dave Roberts and Tony Soares. If Carmelo believes what he said then why hasn’t he publicly condemned Dave Roberts, Ruben Ramos, Tony Soares and Helen Hirsch? These people are the ones hiding behind the scenes supporting the lawsuits against Applied Housing. Why doesn’t Carmelo resign in protest from his nicely paid position as Freeholder Maurice Fitzgibbons’ right hand man? All of these people are the ones who are hiding behind Ms. Hirsch and her ridiculous lawsuits.
In the October 8 Hoboken Reporter Dave Roberts said “Joe Barry tries to become an intimidating force.” Does that sound like a friend of Applied Housing? I don’t think so. I think all Applied Housing residents ought to question these people’s sincerity, motives and true colors when they are known hypocrites trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
