Many helped in recovery through fire

Dear Editor:

Recently there was a fire in my kitchen which threatened to engulf my entire apartment and possibly the lives of my two sons.

I want to publicly thank Raul Morales and Ferdie Santiago of Applied Housing for their efforts to assist me in quickly renovating my kitchen. Without their help, I don’t know what I would have done!

Mayor Anthony Russo and his wife, Michele, were also extremely helpful and supportive during this trying time. They even went so far as to purchase new kitchen items to replace the ones lost in the fire, thank you!

I’d like also to thank everyone on the staff of the Hoboken Parking Authority for all that they have done to help in the aftermath of the fire.

Finally, Father Francis of St. Ann’s Church not only provided spiritual support, but he even bought a new baby carriage and highchair for my grandson. Thank you, Father.

In my time of need, these individuals opened their hearts to me, which is something I will never forget.

Thank you all.
