Jersey City Art Tour is here Artists to display local work this weekend

During one weekend out of every year, Jersey City and local artists provide art enthusiasts the opportunity to see beyond galleries and museum displays and visit the actual studios where the magic all happens. And that weekend is finally here. On Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22 Jersey City will host the Jersey City Art Tour, otherwise known as the JCAT2000.

This year, the JCAT2000 will feature more than 100 artists’ studios, art galleries, and outdoor exhibits and will feature work by artists like Bill Barrell, Charles Chamot, Nancy Cohen, Ron English, Spelman Evans-Downer, Nancy Golden, Keith Gunderson, Kay Kenny, Allen Maertz, Bruce Morozko, Bob Pfitzenmeirer, Bill Rodwell and Steven Singer, among others.

The JCAT2000 festivities will also include music by the Kevin Danenberg/Josh Irving Quartet and piano music by David Sauberman along with dance performances by Jennifer Muller and Young Soon Kim, and poetry readings by Carolyn Alroy. Visitors can also enjoy free food samples from several of Jersey City’s top eateries including Brand Caf
