Dear Editor:
I enthusiastically endorse the Committee for Better Transit’s proposal to convert one of the Lincoln Tunnel tubes to light rail. It would help alleviate the impact of mounting ridership on the PATH.
Any new cross-Hudson transit tunnel would require at least 10 years of design and construction and would cost billions of dollars.
