It’s true that Soares won by mistake

Dear Editor: So, two individuals were unhappy with my letter explaining how Tony Soares won simply because his name was placed by pure chance in Column B with the Democratic candidates last November. Apparently, these same two individuals are so concerned about our community that they forgot to register to vote here! They are not registered, I checked. I couldn’t even find them listed in the telephone book. So, they may not even be residents. Perhaps Tony Soares has decided to hide behind these people? Face it, Tony, people just voted straight down the line, many not even realizing they were voting for you by mistake. Just ask many of the seniors who voted Democratic and then had trouble voting for councilperson because they turned your lever by mistake first. The results of the recent School Board election proved that Tony Soares’ victory was a fluke. Additionally, he and his gang of obstructionists should really consider the damage they are causing to our community, rather than continually trying to further their own political ambitions. Remember the quote from Roberts, Soares and Ramos — “We are going to wreak havoc on Anthony Russo.” All they care about is themselves and their political future, not about government and the good of the people.
