Mother, Dear Mother

Mother, Dear Mother Hold my hand Well that’s impossible, now Because Mother’s in Heaven Whenever I think of her The words — Mother, Dear Mother Hold my hand Go racing through my mind… Mother was everything tome She was the sun and the moon And the sparkling beautiful Stars in the sky Mother was always there for me In the most beautiful days of the year And during the worst, most troublesome times… Mother’s love, Is the most special love you will ever experience in your entire lifetime, It’s so private, so sweet and trustful… Mother never used the words “I love you,” but She told me about love With her sense of humor She said I love you with her eyes She said I love you with her smile She said I love you with her touch She told me with special hugs, Hugs that last close to forever She was so warm, happy and full of fun I knew whatever my future held for me Mother would stay with me forever… Mother’s Day — Oh God — to see her once more Just to say to her “Mother, Dear Mother, hold my hand…” Mother, Dear Mother holds my hand — and saves me a seat next to yours in Heaven. Happy Mother”s Day! Walter Guzzi
