There’s No Time to Wait

Forty-Six kids die every day Shot to death in the U.S.A. To their parents go my prayers But the problems not just theirs. We live in a world of violence Where a child with a gun feels confidence, When leaving home to go to school Being shot just isn’t cool. The guns were drawn and the bullets flew You dove for cover but one hit you, An innocent victim on the ground Hoping you don’t get another round. Shattered shoulder and nowhere to go Bullets still flying and you don’t know If you’ll survive you’re filled with fear Kids with guns, screams fill my ears. Trigger locks alone won’t do Education is the clue, Teach your children not to hate Before it’s all too late. Do the math, statistics show Almost 17,000 deaths you know, Please come to Washington For your daughter and son. Christian Lack
